Less and less

There is an old sorta zen-y saying ... "When you seek knowledge, every day you know more and more. When you seek wisdom, every day you know less and less."

My ms is becoming wise. There's less of the first ten chapters every day.
This makes it hard to measure progress.

I've finished Chapters Ten and Eleven. I'm about done with Chapter Twelve. But the real accomplishment is simplifying Sebastian's motivation. Simplifying plot.

If Chapters One through Ten were a cluttered attic, I'd now have everything in labeled boxes on the shelves and there'd be leftover stacks of boxes at the back door waiting for the Goodwill.
