Is she double checking your edits for you? or just reassuring you that your editor must be crazy to want to change that scene (unless it's to remove the dog and add a cat) :)
I confess to being a 100% cat person. There is nothing as cozy as a kitty. Your cat is just adorable (and very snuggly looking.)
One of my favorite things about cats is how no box is ever too small to fit them. My cats would bust the sides out of boxes stuffing themselves in or let their kitty chub/fluff overflow the top of the box. It's like a chubby woman stuffing themselves into a size 2 dress.
I am sure you would not get half as much work done without your "helper" being there ;)
I must shamefully admit I have spent way too much time watching Maru videos online. I adore Maru. Scottish fold cats are so cute they almost don't look real. I think it's very appropriate that the country who gave us Hello Kitty also gave us Maru.
There is something almost spooky about the affinity of cats for loose papers. Perhaps wandering cats were used as paperweights in Medieval monasteries? We unwitting bred cats to do this.
Having spent all yesterday looking into Regency cats, I will now post pictures of me and my cat.
