Jeannie Lin at Word Wenches

I know it feels as though I will never post again.  I have been dilatory, which is such a lovely word it almost makes dilatory seem a delightful thing to be.

Anyhow.  I am in full frantic-panic mode about The Book Deadline and therefore largely silent.

I will just say we have a lovely interview with the author of Butterfly Sword over at Word Wenches.  Here.  Very interesting, and not just to those of you enthralled by the Tang dynasty.

Is there anyone not enthralled by the Tang dynasty?  So few periods of history are named after fruit-flavored beverages.

  1. Woo-hoo!!! Jeannie Lin is fabulous, and this book is going to be a major hit.

And no apologies needed on the posting front since a) you've been regaling us plenty with all the awesome info on pistols and French Rev and goldfish (goldfish!!!) and b) I wholeheartedly support you keeping your focus on Justine and Adrian!!! (Has the shooting happened yet??)

Well, Butterfly Swords will keep me busy for a bit, and then I can go back to patiently waiting.

  2. Elisa took the words out of my mouth. Much as we love your blog posts I'd wager there's not a reader of this blog who wouldn't rather you focus on that Justine deadline.

  3. Hi Elisa --

I think I saw your picture in the RWA Romance Writers Report. Way to GO!

Yes. Adrian has been shot. I am beyond that point now.
    Much relief on my part.

I will have to go back and do much redrafting from the beginning still, but I'm making progress.

  4. Hi Annie --

Generally I have a blast writing the blog. I hate it when I have no time to do things that I love.
