Looking for a Nest

I've decided to break down and get a website.
Like, a real website.

Haven't done it yet, you understand, but at least I'm thinking in that direction.
And gathering information.
After the New year I might actually do something.

  3. Having a full website would be fab. I can't find your email addy and I REALLY wanted to give you a talking to for keeping me up, not one, but TWO nights in a row so that I could read Spymaster's Lady. IT WAS SO AMAZING. If you send me your email I'll pass my review link along to you. csolyn@rakehell.com.

Also if you are looking for a website my SO does them on the side. He's done Sabrina Jeffries and Jade Lee. That is if you aren't going to build your own.

    Take care!

Great book. Great writing. You've sold out at my local Books-A-Million and I asked them to order more. I am buying some for gifts. I love this book. I read it in six hours--something I never do. Congrats! The book is really wonderful........

  6. Okay,
Jane told me about your book, that I just had to read it because it is fantastic, and I went to three stores trying to find and ended up getting it on fiction wise and I'm reading it on my computer because I couldn't wait.

I'm in the middle but had to email you to tell you OMG!!!!!! This is wonderful!!! You, my dear lady are one extremely clever girl.

Can't wait to finish it. I think I'll be pulling an all nighter.

  7. Hi Jane Harrington --

I cannot thank you enough for asking for the reorder. It's a little thing, but it means the store knows there's someone out there who wants it.

I see by your profile you're a George MacDonald fan.
    Me too. (waves)

  8. Hi Michelle --

I am delighted you're enjoying the book. It is so kind of you to drop by and tell me.

Writing, as you know, can be a pretty solitary occupation. We don't get much feedback. Somebody who stops to say they liked the work just warms the heart.

  9. I just finished The Spymaster's Lady -- LOVED IT to itty bitty pieces -- and came looking for your site... and then I saw this. :) If you're still interested, I have a business helping authors set up websites. Our own poor site has a bad case of Cobbler's Child Syndrome, so drop me a note if you have any questions. (Like, where the portfolio is. Le sigh. One of these days...)

Your userpic is extremely familiar... I'm thinking LiveJournal comment threads. Novel in 90, perhaps?

  10. Hi sleary--

Thank you so much for the kind words.

I have just ... I mean about 24 hours ago just -- sent off the copyedits for My Lord and Spymaster.

    Done.

I lift my bleary eyes up from the computer and see
THREE WEEKS OF HOUSEWORK NOBODY HAS DONE.

"Oh good," says I. "Book done. Now I can relax.
    Not."

But I will sit down and get to work on this some time in the next week or so.

    Yes Novel in 90. Yes.

  11. Congrats on the copyedits!

My own housework is a disaster as well. We have a number of new clients, and as a result, my floors won't bear scrutiny...
