I got no work done today.

I sat in Starbucks and drank two huge lattes and looked at the scene where my villain beats up the hero,
(my villain is named Guichet right now, but that's not going to last because 'guichet' means like, that booth in the Metro where you buy tickets. I have no idea why I'm calling him that.)
and I couldn't work on it.

I sat there and did nothing.
Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing.

So I came home and planted German iris and yellow tulips and azaleas that are this absolutely beautiful soft pink and dahlias and phlox.

Then I came inside and painted my toenails.
Pink.

  1. Guichet isn't too bad. You could always name him Cliche.

I did "research" by looking at the drive-by pics in Google of random parts of Kensington.

I am sure deep down inside you were plotting and enriching characters and deciding whether to keep the bunny scene...
And I bet tomorrow is very productive!

  3. I'm in the middle of finals. I went to the library and actually worked for a couple of hours. Then I spent another hour pretending to work (so my study buddy wouldn't yell at me) while really going on amazon and downloading all the free music samplers I could find and buying more music that I really don't need and can't afford.

Starbucks would have been cheaper. You have to pay for internet there so I couldn't have bought music.

Tomorrow I resolve to be a better student.

  4. Sounds like a day well spent, to me. [g]

Let the blokes duke it out; I'm sure they'll tell you what happened, eventually!

  5. I bet anything your latte-saturated writer's mind was secretly working on the fight scene and coming up with a brilliant new name for Guichet. Plus you get pretty flowers and toenails--Bonus!

  7. OK, I admit it, Jo. I had a huge laugh over your villian named Guichet. I know it rhymes with Pinochet, but it's a trop frou-frou name, poodle-like, even. Your villian's ticked off and not talking to you. After all, how he survive the affront to his masculinity over his beating up the hero with a feather boa?

  8. Sounds like a perfect day. :) We planted Red Bell Peppers, Corsican Mint, Cilantro, and Sage yesterday.

  9. @ various.

Maybe Gaudiet. The worst I know of that name is that they make wine.
